At Oxygen Conservation, we know data is one of the most powerful tools we have to Scale Conservation. We’re looking for a Junior Drone Surveyor to join our growing data and technology team, someone who can see landscapes not just for what they are, but for what they could become.
From drone surveys and data management to 3D visualisations and GIS, this role is your opportunity to use cutting-edge technology to help restore ecosystems, protect wildlife, and redefine how conservation happens at scale.

ENVIRONMENT
- Deep passion for the natural world and a commitment to protecting and restoring it through data-driven insight.
- Understanding of how remote sensing, geospatial data, and drone technologies can accelerate environmental restoration.
- Excitement about contributing to real-world climate and biodiversity impact across landscapes in England, Scotland, and Wales.
IMPACT
- Experience planning and piloting drone surveys for topographical and environmental deliverables, ideally holding a General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC). If you don’t yet hold a GVC, we’d still love to hear why you’re exceptional, how you’ll add value while training.
- Skills in managing, processing, and visualising spatial data, using tools such as ArcGIS, DJI Terra, Pix4D, orCloud Compare.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and data quality.
- Analytical thinking with the curiosity to test, learn, and continuously improve how we collect and present spatial data.

- Passion for the outdoors and willingness to travel to remote estates across the UK, working in all weathers and conditions, and using world-class equipment to navigate exciting terrain, independently.

What we’d love you to do
Plan, execute, and deliver drone surveys across our UK estate portfolio, ensuring data quality, mission safety, and CAA compliance.
Generate orthorectified imagery, digital elevation models, and other spatial datasets.
Support the development of mapping applications and data integrations within our ArcGIS ecosystem.
Process and manage remote sensing data, helping identify patterns and changes across landscapes.
Collaborate with the GIS and Natural Capital teams to transform raw spatial data into actionable insights for environmental baselining, restoration, and monitoring.
Maintain and calibrate drone and surveying equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
Capture high-quality drone imagery and video to support storytelling and communication of our mission.
Work in accordance with our company Health & Safety protocols, particularly those governing drone flight and fieldwork operations.
