If you’re looking for a dream job that doesn’t exist, stop looking — it’s here. When I saw that tagline, I felt like it had been written for me. I applied as an Ecotourism Co-ordinator because everything about OC matched exactly where my experience, my passion, and my ambitions were pointing. Two years later, I’ve been an Ecotourism Co-ordinator, an Estate Custodian, and I’m now an Estate Manager. That progression happened because OC gave me the space to grow and the opportunities to show what I could do.

I applied to OC looking for challenge and adventure, and knew I would be doing meaningful work every day. As an accountant, it’s a joy to work in an environment where the impact goes far beyond the spreadsheets. Since joining, there have been so many ‘pinch me’ moments: settling invoices on mountains, speaking to investors from forests, and laughing with the team in the ocean. It’s a unique environment, and I feel really fortunate to be part of it.

The hiring process was genuinely two-way. I wasn’t just being interviewed, I had the freedom to ask real questions and dig into how the organisation works. I could interview them. Providing that space enabled me to understand what OC was really about.
